Unable to find work in his professional field, Sadiq took a job selling credit cards. When he grew suspicious about the commission system, he began asking questions that led to his termination. So he launched a case with the Ministry of Labour and soon garnered support from the Workers’ Action Centre. He won the case.

Sadiq believes that companies such as this take advantage of immigrant job seekers because of their ignorance of Canadian labour laws.
